Christmas Doesn't Make Sense!!!!

Ok, so christmas is supposed to be all about the birth of Christ, right? Well, if you read between the lines, during the time of Jesus' birth, there were ppl harvesting. If he was born in the middle of winter in Palestine, where the winters are bitter and cold, how could they be harvesting? So why do we celebrate Christmas in winter? bcuz of the old paganistic Roman holiday (oh yeah, i mean "pagan" as in the old definition, meaning old religion). In said holiday, the men would exchange gifts, get hammered, and have a LOT of sex. (what else are they gonna do? it's the middle of winter!)

Well, i don't really care that much.... as long as i'm still getting presents for christmas, i'm happy.... lol........... actually i didn't do that bad this year... i got an iPod shuffle (the 2nd generation one) so that was pritty awesome........... my previous mp3 player was some piece of crap, no name brand thing from china.... i had to ask someone to help me translate the instructions so that I could change the settings to be in english. Plus, that one only had 128 meg. and the iPod i have now has 1 gig. It's a pretty big jump up, and i was running out of music to put on it. I couldn't even use my computer to put the songs on, bcuz, like most normal ppl w/ windows xp, i use windows media player. So all of my music is in WMA format. But when you try and sync stuff to the ipod w/ windows media player, it doesn't play. Apple forces you to use iTunes so that u'll buy their songs for a dollar each. And that is BULL. So, I had to go convert 1 gig of music to AAC format and put it into the iTunes library that I had to download on dial up connection, so it took forever and a half. ok, it was more like 3 hours, but that's still a long time when ur waiting to use ur christmas present. So i downloaded it and started converting my songs. But my computer has been having problems where the power source will cut out and it will die if you try and do too much. It's probably just dusty on the inside and it's overheating, but I can't open up my computer bcuz it's a really weird Sony, where the keyboard is attached to the moniter, which has the computer part connected to the back, and it's really small and compact. It's pretty much a laptop... except it doesn't have a battery, it only plugs in, and it really is a desktop. But anyways... i tried to convert my music, but every time I tried to convert the stuff, my computer would die..... it's so annoying!!! so I had to download iTunes to my mom's laptop and put all of the music onto my jumpdrive and move it over to my mom's laptop..... it took forever, but it ended up working.... but now my iPod takes forever and a half to charge, and it only charges when you plug it into the computer! how lame is that?

So christmas wasn't that bad.................. and new year's is coming soon... then i'll have to go back to school.... and i have like, 6 and a half billion things that I have to get done b4 school starts................... eh whatev. i'll get over it.... lol

Oh yeah, and to anyone who celebrates it, happy Kwanzaa! it started yesterday..... pritty kewl.... i actually just wrote an article about it in my school newspaper.............................
